About Organisation

The B. P. National Institute of Social Work is established by Citizen Society in 1968 and is conducting B.S.W. and M.S.W. courses. This is a NAAC accredited B+ Grade institution affiliated to R.T.M. Nagpur University and recognized by Government of Maharashtra. The Citizen Education Society which was established in 1955 by Late Ishwarbabu Deshmukh has to its credit one of the batches of MSW course.

The Institute offers an excellent opportunity to graduates in any discipline to make a place for themselves in the exciting and growing world of social work education. The institute has an excellent infrastructure, academic environment and offers various opportunities to each student to participate in all sorts of assignments-academic and extra-curricular
 
Perspective

Since the primary aim of social work education is to help people-individuals, families, groups and communities to improve their quality of life by making appropriate changes in their social surroundings, its becomes pertinent to shape the personality of the students to shape the socuety in the desirable direction. Therefore, the form of social work is being shifted from welfare paradigm to justice and finally the empowerment.
 
Mission

The Mission of the institution is to empower our students to recognize and optimise their full potential by fostering a family enviroment where Education, Social, Cultuiral, Ethical and Emotional needs are addressed through a holistic programme offered with the help of the staff, students and the community at large, to provide quality education in the area of social work education.
 
Aims And Objectives
  • The Objective of the institution in offering BSW and MSW courses is to shape the personality of the student for a social purpose.

  • Desire for corporate social responsibility.

  • By working with various group of people like individuals, families groups and communities and helping them improve their quality of life by making appropriate changes in their social surroundings.

  • The BSW programme programme prepares students for entry-level jobs and MSW programme for some concentration area.
